The Priests went on a high adventure to Palisades. They floated the
Hoeback, went mountain biking at Teton Village, and boated on Palisades.
Everyone had a wonderful time thanks to the leaders, Priests, and
parents that participated.

Girls Camp 2012
The theme for girls camp this year was Ya Gotta Wanna. We camped at
Reunion Flatts campground just outside of Driggs. We had an awesome
week. This year was the 100 year celebration of the girls camp program
for the church. We did several activities that Sister Dalton the Young Women's General President encouraged us to do while at camp. We gave
each of the girls small flashlights that we shined in the darkness
representing our desire to let our light shine and to be examples to all
around us. We gave all of the young women a 100 day scripture challenge
and encouraged them to participate. Several of the young women's
leaders spoke to the young women on different topics...ya gotta wanna
pray, ya gotta wanna read your scriptures, ya gotta wanna be united,
etc...We went on the Darby Windcave hike...most girls and leaders were
able to make it to the top before the lightning and thunderstorm came.
We were blessed to have inspired Priesthood leaders that guided us
safely on the hike. We had skits that were well....hilarious! We were
able to go rappelling which was a great experience ( I think )
for the young women and even some of the leaders! Several girls and
leaders hiked up to some beautiful waterfalls. Bishops night was
awesome. Bishop Hansen made snow cones for everyone which was great
especially because of the heat! He prepared a dinner that tasted great!
Bishop's message to the young women was powerful and the spirit was very
strong. We had a testimony meeting and again the spirit was felt and all
who were there were uplifted. It was a blessing to be at girls camp
with our ward. The young women in the Rosewood ward are strong and
faithful. They are kind and loving...especially to each other. They have
courage and faith. We were blessed to have a great experience at girls
camp this year. So many leaders and Priesthood leaders helped to make
this girls camp a great experience. Most of all...we saw no bears We were Bear Aware:) - Renae Merzlock
